2017 Cattle Club Update

26 Jan 2017 by Leyton Rodrigues

Dear Parents, Students and Staff

The cattle club is gearing up for an exciting new show season in 2017.

Last year was extremely busy for us all, this year we start the first cycle of three year cycle of shows. It means we will visit some shows every year and other shows including Beef Week will be every three years. We have looked at the commitment to support shows but the logistics to have the cattle at so many, particularly the longer distances needed to be rationalized. The College will will support our regional shows with staff from the College and connect with Old Boys and parents to celebrate Nudgee in the community.

The cattle will start to arrive at the yards from the 10th February and hope to have them all in by Monday the 13th February. We will have our training weekend at Nudgee from Friday afternoon the 17th Feb until Sunday the 19th Feb. Details on this will follow in a memo.

In the calendar you will see Bell Show first week of March and Proston Show the following weekend. Details on this and who will be eligible to go will be in a follow up memo.

I wish to advise that Mr John Sayer has had some setbacks with his health and we continue to keep him in our thoughts and prayers. I will continue to assist the College to get the show season up and running and will over the next week work with our club senior members to get everything ready.

Cheers
